Welcome to Pet Angel Adoption and Rescue's blog! My name is Pansy, I'm the office kitty here and basically rule the land, so I'm here to tell you what we're all about! We're a 5(o)1(c)3, non-profit cat rescue in Frankenmuth Michigan, and have been helping home furry friends for over 10 years. In 2004, Nancy Engel had feral cats in her backyard that gave birth to kittens. She took the kittens when they were weaned from their mother, socialized them and found them homes. More people began contacting her on other cats they found, people brought her babies that needed bottle feeding and she began taking in and homing more and more animals, so she gave herself a name and the business was founded! We started in her basement, and over the past years, have grown and grown and moved into an entire facility that Nancy and her volunteers have transformed into our rescue!
Pet Angel has been home to pregnant kitties, blind kitties, deaf kitties, 3 legged cats, special needs cats, old, young and the injured. We've seen just about everything at this point, and The Angels (the name I gave to our volunteers) has loved each and everyone the same! We do fun fundraisers, like kitten showers when its kitten season, a yearly silent auction at the Bavarian Inn Lodge in Frankenmuth and we are currently working on a cook book!
We have some pretty amazing stories that have happened to us, so we started this blog and we're really excited to share them with you! I hope you follow along, learn something fun and maybe find a kitty of your own on blogs!
